Children's Land Early Childhood Learning Center of Mount Prospect is seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role involves nurturing, teaching, and caring for Toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development and a strong ability to engage toddlers in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement educational activities that are developmentally appropriate and foster learning and growth.
- Monitor and report on the progress of children, ensuring developmental milestones are met.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and feedback about their child’s day and progress.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
- Manage classroom resources and materials.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a harmonious and effective team environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with children in a structured environment.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred (not necessary).
- Knowledge of early childhood education theories and practices.
- Knowledge of DCFS guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and engage in physical activities with children.
- Passionate about working with children and contributing to their developmental success.
