Summary/Objective
Registered Behavior Technicians are responsible for providing intensive behavioral intervention services to autistic clients to facilitate language, cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development. The Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for directly delivering behavioral services to children, as well as taking accurate data throughout sessions while maintaining client dignity and safety.
Essential Functions
- Provide direct therapy to children ages 2-7.
- Completes daily data tracking using electronic data collection system.
- Converts billing notes at the end of each shift.
- Assists BCBA Supervisor with implementing individualized goals.
- Implements individualized treatment and/or behavior plan(s) as written and directed by Supervising BCBA or Lead BCBA.
- Manages client PHI in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Collaborates with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as parents and other members of the child's medical team.
Additional Functions:
- Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of Shine Pediatric Therapy by providing child-led and play-based therapy.
- Maintains client safety and dignity within the clinic.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of high school degree, though an associates or bachelor’s degree completed in child development, special education, psychology, communication disorders, physical therapy, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience working directly with children.
- RBT Certification (training to obtain certification will be provided if not active at time of hiring).
- Active CPR training preferred (will be provided if not active at the time of hiring).
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part time or full-time position. Full-time days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Must pass a criminal history background check.
