Job Title: R&D Senior Robotics Engineer - Endovascular Robotics
Location: Global, with focus on Advanced Therapies
Position Overview: As a Senior Robotics Engineer in our Endovascular Robotics division, you will drive the development of complex electromechanical systems for robotic-assisted vascular interventions. This role combines advanced analytical methodologies with mechanical engineering principles to optimize state-of-the-art medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop next-generation robotic platforms through electromechanical system design.
- Apply mathematical modeling, simulations, and analytical methods to optimize mechanical systems.
- Utilize static, dynamic, and kinematic analyses in design and development.
- Lead mechanical sub-system design from concept to verification, ensuring Design for Manufacturing & Assembly and Design for Reliability.
- Conduct forward and inverse kinematics, finite element analysis (FEA), and 3D tolerance analysis using tools like Simulink, Simscape, MATLAB, and SolidWorks.
- Perform engineering tests, analyze results, and implement best practices in design and development.
- Train and mentor team members on new tools and techniques.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- PhD in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field with a focus on medical devices.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on product development experience, preferably in medical robotics.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, SolidWorks CAD modeling, FEA (e.g., ANSYS), tolerance analysis, and statistical tools.
- Experience with LabVIEW, sensors, and DAQ systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Proven ability to apply advanced analytical and problem-solving methodologies in complex mechanical system design.
