Purpose:
The Specialist, Air Cargo Division will be responsible for business planning in Air Cargo Division (ACD) including conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities and assess the strengths and weaknesses of existing operations. Work with cross-function organizations as well as other colleagues globally to support business planning objectives and initiatives. This position will be responsible for Global RFQ process as a member of the Tender management team as well. As a part of business planning and initiatives, this position will be responsible for supporting System Development & Quality Compliance team. Excellent communication, organization, and internal reporting skills are a must. Also, this individual must be flexible to support our team to the highest level of performance.
Essential Duties for Business Planning

Conduct market research to identify customer needs and catch market trends.

Marketing and aviation industry analysis reporting.

Support creating business plan and other reporting documents, presentations, and marketing materials.

Create and maintain project documentation and reporting, including progress updates and project status reports.

Support System Development & Quality Compliance team. (System and technical background are not required)

Support management team.

Good communication skills (written and oral)

Develop and maintain collaboration in a cooperative and respectful manner with all levels of staff.

Special Duties may be assigned based on the needs of management. Your future assignments will depend on the needs of the division, your performance, and capabilities.

Essential Duties for Tender Management
-
Manage the RFQ processes and complete professional and highly accurate response packages before deadlines for: global customers, and customers’ traffic that involves multiple branches.

Collect and organize responses from various regions and branches into one complete and comprehensive package. Collect, organize, and store market pricing and related data in the most effective manner for quick retrieval and future use.

Develop strategic pricing plans and effectively communicate and share them with other branches and regions within the Nippon Express domestic and international network.

Reporting - In addition to identifying problems, develop and present solution options to satisfy customers’ needs. Capability to identify market and pricing trends, evaluate competitive information, customer requirements and report solutions to Management staff.

Process Improvement – Seek to enhance existing or develop new pricing database resources, and continuously improve processes and procedures to provide a consistent approach. Seek to minimize and reduce response times for future RFI/RFQ requests regarding similar cargo and lanes.

Communication/Feedback - Accept feedback willingly; develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.

Teamwork - Must work and interact professionally and effectively with sales and operations staff worldwide in order to achieve macro target revenue goals.

Minimum Requirements:

Bilingual - Japanese

B.A./B.S. Degree or High School diploma or equivalent or related industry experience.

Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to understand, develop, and maintain multicultural relationships.

Strong computer skills – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends.
