Overview:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Your primary responsibility will be to support the educational and recreational activities of our daycare, ensuring that children receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and implementation of daily activities, including arts, crafts, and educational games
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for children
- Provide individualized attention and care for children, including feeding, bathing, and dressing
- Implement behavior management strategies to support the social and emotional development of children
- Work closely with the daycare staff to develop and implement special education plans for children with special needs
- Provide first aid and respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with the daycare team to ensure that all children receive the care and support they need
- Engage in nannying duties, including preparing meals, doing laundry, and managing household responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or nannying setting
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques
- The ability to educate children on various topics, including literacy and numeracy
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers
- A current certification in first aid
- Familiarity with special education and its application in a daycare setting
- A strong understanding of behavior management principles and practices
- A passion for working in a daycare or nannying environment
