We seek a Janitorial supervisor in San Diego, CA. Applicants must have at least three years of Janitorial experience and one year of supervisor position.
On-Site Supervisor
All supervisory personnel shall be considered Key Personnel under this contract and shall possess at least five years of recent experience within the past seven years in directing housekeeping operations in a supervisory capacity. A detailed resume for both new and replacement supervisors shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer prior to their assignment.
Job Summary:
The Supervisor serves as an additional representative of the company on site. This person is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in all janitorial activities within the assigned areas of the facility to ensure the highest client and customer satisfaction levels and strong employee relations.
Specific job functions may include the following (but not limited to) and are subject to change depending on the needs of the contract and company:
Operations:
· Must maintain constant communication with the Project Manager and corporate office via phone, teams & emails.
· Oversee a staff of janitors responsible for cleaning an assigned property.
· Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed.
· Taking inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment and informing management when supplies are depleted.
· Resolving conflicts between janitorial staff in an efficient manner.
· Train new and current employees and report progress to management.
· Provide input on performance evaluations and make recommendations on hiring and dismissals.
· Perform routine On-Site Inspections
· Follow up with deficiencies to ensure it is corrected; deficiencies may need to be performed by self.
· Respond to requests from building managers to conduct various maintenance and clean-up activities in coordination with Project Manager.
· Perform custodial related duties when necessary.
· Cover open shifts as needed
· Follow the appropriate disciplinary action process and submit write ups to Project Manager.
Administration:
· Payroll
· Gather timecards twice per month, ensure each is signed by the employee and add the timecards’ hours.
· Make necessary corrections and resubmit as requested.
· Ensure timely and efficient submission of all necessary information
· Ensure all proper paperwork is filled out with new employees.
· Ensure all proper paperwork is completed with exiting employees.
· Hiring new staff as necessary
· Terminating staff, if necessary, in coordination with corporate office
