Tallulah Adventures is seeking a food and beverage server to be responsible for managing all front-end food and beverage operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The ideal candidate for this position will be very personable, charismatic, and have a customer-oriented mindset. This position will have the highest level of interaction with our guests and thus maintaining a good attitude and welcoming persona are of the utmost importance for this role. Drinking alcohol on the shift will not be allowed. If you are 21+, you may have one complimentary beer or glass of wine at the end of your shift (once off the clock).

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers as they come down the stairs into the bar/café space
- Take orders for beverages and food and assist customers with questions pertaining to our services
- Finalize transactions and close-out open tabs
- Maintain adequate stock of clean glasses, cups, lids, ice, beer, wine, coffee, tea, and back-bar cooler items
- Ensure that customers are satisfied with food, beverage, and overall service
- Clear tables and bar area and bus dishes back to the kitchen for cleaning
- Monitor café and pavilion seating areas and clean up any messes including broken glass
- Check IDs of anyone appearing under 50 years of age and ensure that no one underage is being served alcoholic beverages
- Hire and train new staff
- Report to management regarding sales and tips
- Monitor the stock of beverages and CO2/Nitrogen; communicate to manager when a beverage or gas order should be made
- Plan specials and promotions based on seasonality and events
- Communicate and build strong relationships with beverage vendors
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Some college (preferred), high school diploma or GED will be considered
- 1-3 years of experience in food, beverage, or in a similar role
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Acceptance and tolerance for serving a wide array of customers from different backgrounds, personality types, and cultures
- Organizational skills
- Spanish (Preferred but not required)
- Ability to delegate tasks & self-delegate during slow times
- Willingness to report any issues or problems to management
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and up to date with trends and best practices
- Willingness to communicate with all levels of staff kindly and professionally
- High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of computer software programs (Microsoft Office, Square POS, etc.)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently and handle any conflicts that arise
- Team player
Pay: $7.25/hour plus tips, guarantee of $14.00/hour.
