Overall Objective:
This role will serve as the medical point of contact for Region US with assigned national and regional payer organizations engaging in clinical, health economics and health outcomes interactions.
Role & Responsibilities:
The Medical Outcome Liaison (MOL) role is a remote-based posi-tion within the Field Medical Outcomes group housed in the United States Medical Affairs organization.
In this role, you will be the lead medical, health economics, and health outcomes point of contact with regional and national health care payers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), integrated deliv-ery networks, and health systems. You will proactively and reac-tively engage payer/PBM executives and their designates (from pharmacy, medical, quality, value assessment, etc.), external scien-tific experts, and relevant business influencers in clinical and health outcome based information for all portfolio and pipeline products to inform access and reimbursement decisions.
You will provide medical leadership and develop medical account strategies and action plans for each of the portfolio and pipeline products and collaborate closely with a team of National and Re-gional Account Managers.
You will consistently promote and demonstrate strong cross-func-tional teamwork with field-based and headquarters-based medical and commercial colleagues to meet customer needs with the high-est levels of quality and customer-focused support. · Building ensuring partnerships is a must with internal colleagues as well as with customer executives, decision-makers, and scientific experts, and key influencers.
Bring value to customers by leveraging the expertise of your col-leagues when relevant to customer discussions and responses to customer’s requests. Also, ensure that you are always on top of your game by being a continuous learner- combing the disease state literature, staying abreast of health policy changes and trends, new data on company products and competitors, and methodologies for generating health economics and real-world ev-idence.
Teach others in the company- share your expertise and stake your claim internally as the “go to” person for critical topics. · Continuously improve the quality of customer engagements and help carve-out a strong reputation in the industry as a “best in class” health outcomes team. Being stagnant is not an option.
Requirements:
Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, MD, DO, PharmD, MS, MPH) or related health science field and a minimum of 7 years of experience, with advanced training
Region: National Accounts and Central US Regional Accounts
At least 3-5 years of payer/health care consulting/health policy/phar-maceutical/biotech/medical device industry relevant experience
Market access and/or account facing managed market experience · Preferably have experience in a field based Medical Affairs role focusing on payer needs and a working knowledge of advanced IDN accounts and National/Regional accounts
Working knowledge of health policy, and healthcare trends impacting the healthcare industry, including quality of care, performance measures, value-based reimbursement and payment models, care coor-dination, various payer segments (private and public), and managed markets
Experience conducting and presenting research studies
Bonus: established network of relationships with payers
Excellent knowledge and command of clinical trial design and method-ology, observational study designs, epidemiology, biostatistics, value frameworks and health economic principles Behavioral Competencies:

Demonstrated business acumen, with ability to simplify complex topics to drive decision-making
Ability to work across multiple products
Ability to multi-task and manage several account plans and needs, in-ternal/external deadlines with a strong sense of urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articu-late and defend the full clinical value proposition for assigned brands
Able to work independently in a home office environment (without in-terruptions or significant distractions during normal business hours) with up to 70% travel; proximity to a major airport desirable
Experienced in account planning with ability to effectively work along-side commercial and other functions to develop robust account plans which include.
Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industries’ regulatory and com-pliance environment and shown history of operating integrity
