Building Automation Solutions (BAS), a Long Island-based controls integrator serving the tri-state area, is looking for qualified service representatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service and/or maintain building automation systems.
- Provide exemplary service to BAS service clients assigned to you.
- Troubleshoot issues that come up during service visits and repair as needed or directed by BAS management.
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
- Assist with startup, commission, and re-commission of customer systems that utilize pneumatic/electrical/electronic technology.
- Maintain accurate As-Built drawing package and make changes in Visio, Excel and/or Word as required.
- Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals, and/or a laptop computer.
- Assist in static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming.
- Assist in the set-up of operator workstations with all associated software.
- Perform job database backups on a regular basis.
- Complete paperwork on-time, including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic understanding of control logic.
- Experience troubleshooting DDC systems, low voltage control systems, and computer networks.
- Thorough knowledge of wired and wireless IP Technology.
- Must be personable, service oriented and willing to work directly with the customers' on-site staff
- Willing to travel in excess of 50% of typical work week, mostly local travel in the tri-state area with the occasional overnight.
- Possess and maintain valid and current Driver's License.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred.
- Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship
OR Other post high school training (two years duration) with minimum of 5 years’ experience. Tridium and Niagara experience a plus.
