Experienced addiction Counselor duties and responsibilities
This job is additionally responsible for the quality improvement and performance of an Opioid Treatment Program. Their responsibilities typically include the following:
- Be a leading and motivating mentor to staff.
- Individual and group counseling
- Maintain a caseload
- Is familiar with OTP federal & state laws, regulations, etc. and the application of these rules, including COMAR.
- Maintain CARF Standards and quality improvement, outreach.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Experience preferred and pass a background check and urine screen.
Must have license from Board of Professional Counselors (CSC-AD, CAC-AD)
Experience working in the substance abuse treatment field and a harm reduction viewpoint.
