Job Title: Event Retail Associate Seasonal

FSLA Status: Temporary/Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $16/hr.
Position Summary:
As an Event Retail Associate at our pop-up events, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customers have an enjoyable and seamless shopping experience. You will be responsible for operating the POS (point of sale) system, assisting customers in finding products, maintaining event setups, and promoting sales through upselling. This is a temporary position lasting between three to six months. This role requires working weekends, from Friday through Sunday, at various pop-up events or retail locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned):
Customer Service:
- Creating an environment that maintains a 100% customer focus
- Exemplifies an optimistic and energetic presence through team collaboration while building strong relationships with customers to maximize customer loyalty
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Directs and models selling behaviors to build customer relationships and brand loyalty
- Creates efficient and satisfying cash- wrap experience
Operational Excellence:
- Operate the POS system to complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently and is responsible for accurate of sales figures.
- Manages and protects the assets of the merchandise through implementation and close monitoring of loss prevention practices
- Assist customers in locating products, including different sizes, styles, and colors.
- Set up and break down the pop-up event, including displays, product placement, and merchandising.
- Restock inventory as needed to ensure a full and attractive product display.
- Maintain a clean and organized event space.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the success of the event.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with POS systems and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and a cheerful working attitude.
Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on event timing.
- Ability to upsell products effectively.
- Physically able to set up and break down event equipment, including lifting and moving merchandise.
Physical Demands:
- May require a combination of standing, stooping, sitting, and walking up to 75% of the time, and as needed.
- May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 25% of the time, and as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Vision requirements may require close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
