Betty's Pizza and Pasta is a casual, family oriented restaurant providing pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches in a comfortable and inviting environment and through timely and efficient delivery. Betty's is part of Kettlestrings Kitchen & Tap, a locally owned restaurant group.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assists in the development, standardization and implementation of recipes while preparing assigned items for food service
- Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
- Assists other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to insure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Assists in plating food items for service
- Cleans assigned work station areas
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of equipment
- Carefully follows instructions and procedures set and communicated by Chef
Qualifications and Skills
- Reliable
- Able to communicate effectively with other team members
- Minimum of 1 year experience with pizza required, New York Style preferred
- Knowledge of modern kitchens, chefs, techniques
- Must have positive attitude, self motivated
- Flexible scheduling
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
