LEAD ACCOUNTANT
BUG-A-SALT, a growing start-up manufacturing a unique, patented insect eradication device, is seeking a full-time Lead Accountant at our Santa Monica location.
Do you have an excellent sense of humor? You will need one to work here! We have the silliest, most fun, yet practical, product (maybe in the world). At the same time, we are serious about our business. Are you the type of person who gets excited to organize things and develop better systems and processes to handle challenges as they arise? Are you meticulous in following established accounting protocols? Are you passionate about ensuring books are closed accurately and timely, and having your work verified, each month? If your answer is yes to each of these questions, then our role could be a great one for you.
Also, have you previously implemented new accounting software? We plan to transition from QuickBooks Online to Microsoft Dynamics and could use your experience as we make the switch.
This position will report to the VP of Finance and C-Suite executives to help us create and maintain a productive work environment. The ideal candidate is an extremely well organized, detail-oriented individual, who can manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment. This role will be office based, meaning you will be required to work in our physical Santa Monica office during business hours, five days per week, Monday through Friday.
Successful candidates must be able to wear several hats, work closely with, and manage, other Finance/Accounting team members, communicate effectively (verbally and through email), have thick skin, and love dogs (at our dog friendly office). Pay for this position will be commensurate with experience. BUG-A-SALT is modeled to reward employees who prove themselves to be hard-working and dedicated.
