We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced loan underwriting manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the underwriting process, developing underwriting standards and ensuring accurate risk assessment for real estate loans. This role requires extensive experience in real estate underwriting, an understanding of real estate markets and trends, and a strong background in financial analysis and modeling.
- Oversee the underwriting process for real estate loans, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments.
- Conduct thorough analysis and underwriting of multifamily real estate loans to determine risk and potential profitability
- Prepare and present comprehensive loan proposals and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with loan officers, appraisers, and other professionals to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of underwriting.
- Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to make informed decisions on loan approvals.
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate underwriting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Extensive knowledge of real estate markets, lending practices, regulations, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
