Sales Manager – Remote
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team to profitably grow our business.
Through our Operating Companies, Airco Gases and Mitchell Welding Supply we have served a wide variety of industries in the DFW Metroplex and East Texas for over 40 years and take great pride in delivering exceptional customer service. We are a key distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases and equipment in the market.
Sales Manager
The Sales Manager has responsibility to lead, direct, and motivate all Sales and Branch, associates to achieve the highest safety performance, sales & margin growth, expense control, EBITDA performance and operational excellence. The Sales Manager is responsible for executing plans and strategies designed to meet or exceed our customer’s and business expectations.
- Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety.
- Lead team to achieve financial expectations to include: Sales and margin growth, managed operating expenses and year-over-year vertical ratio improvement. Drive market leading sales and gross margin growth through your direct sales team and branch personnel while ensuring sound sales behaviors are employed.
- Execute plans to meet or exceed strategic pricing targets.
- The Sales Manager is expected to build direct relationships with key customers throughout the district.
- Ensure a culture of effortless customer experience exists.
- Collaborate with team to maintain proper inventory levels including gases, thereby ensuring the highest levels of order and delivery fulfillment.
- Ensure team members are adequately trained to deliver on our customers’ needs and requirements.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork and communication across the company to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
- Engage all associates to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Manage a territory
Required Education:
- Four-year college degree from an accredited institution in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Sales Management, Engineering, or related field. At least 3-4 years working in related industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Length & Type of Experience:
- Five years of sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment, a branch leadership role, or comparable experience within the distribution industry.
- Packaged gas industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA’s):
- Proficient working with personal computer applications such as MS Office and CU
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Team player; strong collaboration skills; ability to influence.
