Summary/Objective
The Shipping Coordinator is an employee with responsibilities to manage shipping tickets, pull proper material to satisfy orders and load flatbed trucks safely for delivery. The role is to help ensure that the plant achieves the Company’s goals and abides by all Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, Pound and Yield standards set forth on a daily basis.
Essential Functions
· Must work in a safe and appropriate manner. Report all safety related incidents.
· Safely unload and store or load all necessary trucks using a forklift.
· The housekeeping of all assigned areas must be up to the set area standards. Daily responsible for upkeep and improvement
· Must possess excellent communication skills to deal with customers, Sales representatives, suppliers, trucking companies as well as management from other departments.
· Support pulling, staging, and loading all outbound shipments on flatbed trucks
· Process all paperwork into accounting, production, and any necessary tracking files.
· Safety testing & OSHA auditing responsibilities
· Assist in monthly inventory counts
· Rotate all non or slow-moving stock

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing/warehouse setting with a lot of time spent outdoors exposed to various types of weather. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate to high. Proper PPE will be administered.

Qualifications Required
· High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
· 3-5 years of warehouse / manufacturing experience
· 3-5 years in a shipping or Logistics role.
· Proficient in administrative and computer functions (Office, Accounting based programming).
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Fluency in English
· Subject to Background Check
