Job Overview:
We are seeking a Harbor Dispatch and Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in harbor dispatch activities with LA/LGB terminals and driver facing duties. In addition we are seeking a customer service representative who possess knowledge of transportation management systems and supply chain operations.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email
- Coordinate with 3PL providers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Utilize transportation management systems for data entry, frequent updates and reporting
- Assist in dispatching and scheduling shipments and drivers
- Handle shipping and receiving inquiries
- Use GPS systems to monitor delivery progress
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize logistics operations
- Manage import and export loads
Skills:
- Proficient in phone etiquette and customer service practices
- Knowledge of 3PL, freight, and transportation management systems
- Experience with using LA/LGB terminal portals including eModal
- Familiarity with dispatching and shipping receiving processes
- Understanding of GPS technology for tracking shipments
