This Yorkville, IL orthodontic office is seeking a friendly, energetic part-time receptionist/ front desk staff for 20-25 hours weekly with no weekend hours. Responsibilities are shared between additional staff members, so hours can be accommodating. Pay is commensurate with the locale, with annual bonuses, and include benefits such as retirement plan participation, comfortable and safe work environment, paid vacation week in first year, and participation in well-established practice with excellent reputation in the community. Education/Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, good interpersonal skills with a pleasant, patient focused demeanor. Willingness to learn new things, be a team player, accommodate others. Past experience with specific dental office management computer programs or dealing with the public would be helpful, but not required. Experience in professional environments or office management is preferred. Computer skills and excellent phone skills are required. Experience in dealing with social media is highly desirable. Will be required to participate in lab activities with training provided, as necessary.
Responsibilities of Receptionist/Front Desk Staff will include:
- Welcoming in-office patients, providing informational brochure
- Confirm/scheduling appointments, answering phone requests, taking messages, sending out e-mail confirmations, sending out correspondence
- Regularly access and return patient files, inventory supplies, type and download occasional reports
- Assist with instrument sterilization/ preparation
- Monthly drafting of informational e-mails to patients updating office news/articles
- Maintain professional interactions via Facebook, manage patient assessments
- Dealing with insurance companies
- Processing patient claims via internet and our office software
- Effectively communicate with all staff members, patients and parents
