Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the procurement of critical raw material, packaging and other miscellaneous supplies that keep the business running efficiently and effectively. The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the procurement and delivery processes, and exceptional analytics skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supply Management
· Managing the procurement process in its entirety from order entry to order receipt using the company’s ERP system, including but not limited to pricing, safety stock levels, reorder point levels, order quantities and lead time.
· Work to ensure zero stock outs and meet On-Time Shipping goals.
· Communicating any supply disruptions to appropriate parties including but not limited to Production, Operations, and/or Business Development.
· Work closely with the Inventory Control Specialist to ensure order quantity discrepancies are corrected and purchase orders are received in a timely manner.
· Work with Finance to ensure suppliers are paid on time and order price discrepancies are corrected
in a timely manner.
· Complete weekly and monthly inventories as needed to ensure accurate inventory levels.
· Other duties as assigned.
Vendor Management
· Build vendor relationships with Sales, Customer Service, Technical Support representatives.
· Coordinate vendor meetings (in person or virtual) with appropriate departments as needed. Effectively communicate price changes internally to appropriate parties including but not limited to Finance and Business Development.
· Update vendor information as needed in company’s ERP system in a timely manner.
· Provide purchase forecast to vendors as needed.
Shipping and Receiving
· Work with freight partners to schedule pick-ups and/or deliveries daily, ensure deliveries are booked and arrive to their destination on time.
· Work with freight partners to resolve any shipping issues.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement
· Analyze and identify areas for process improvement in day-to-day tasks, procurement, and shipping. Present solutions to all parties involved and execute process improvements.
· Assist in creating and updating procedures to support long-term departmental stability
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field.
· Three (3) years of Purchasing and/or other Supply Chain-related activity.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Experience with ERP systems
· Experience in a manufacturing environment
· Proficient Microsoft Excel skills are required along with other Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Power Bi skills is not required but are a plus.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Strong coordination and time management skills.
· Engages others, builds relationships, and creates networks outside team. Checks in with different people to understand the bigger picture.
· Is curious, agile, engages in new experiences and looks for different perspectives
· Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
· Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
· Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
· Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
Travel Requirements:
· 5%: Up to 13 business days per year

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
