Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering Phone and Responding to Email Inquiries
- Scheduling Appointments / Managing Calendar
- Medical Billing and Interface with Insurance Companies
- Collecting and Keeping Track of Patient Payments
- Data Entry and Electronic Records Upkeep
- Filing Prior Authorization Requests for Prescriptions
- Drafting Letters and Invoices
- Other various office related duties
Required Qualities and Skills:
- Fluent and grammatically correct spoken and written English is an absolute MUST
- Natural ability to communicate with people in person, on the phone, and in email form, pleasant and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and meticulousness
- Being proactive and able to work minimally supervised
- Good problem solving skills
- Working well under pressure, able to multitask
- Word, Excel and Google suite proficiency is a must
- Experience in a medical office or similar environment is preferred
- Experience with medical billing is a strong plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
