Job Overview
Healthcare Career College is looking for a Medical Assistant Instructor who is passionate about the profession, proactive, emotionally intelligent, adept at fusing theory with real-life experiences, and adaptable. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in both didactic and lab settings.
Our classes are held Monday to Thursday, from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Ultimately, you should be confident that your students can achieve the expected learning outcomes, prepare for the workplace, and be positioned to pass relevant certification exams using updating teaching methods and tools.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in an accredited allied health training program.
- Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or other nationally recognized certifying body) . However, if you do not yet have your certification, you can take the test at our Campus prior to starting.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1) Certification preferred.
- Must welcome continuous training, personal growth and development.
- Have the demonstrated ability to help students understand complex concepts.
- Strong ability to communicate with a diverse student population
- Must be goal oriented, proactive, energetic, and highly ethical.
- Ability to assist students in the development of independent learning and critical thinking skills.
- Concern for creating an equitable, welcoming learning environment sensitive to diverse learning needs and challenges.
- Adept at implementing innovative teaching technology & administering lessons using digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Help students to achieve instructional objectives as set by the School
- Achieve clinical objectives needed for success in the workplace. Simulation lab is equipped with manikins and trainers
- Assist students with developing both soft skills and technical skills needed to succeed in the workplace
- Meet weekly with the faculty team to learn and discuss teaching strategies to implement into the classroom
Schedule
- For this position, we are recruiting a morning Instructor to teach Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-1:30pm
- Faculty will teach in-person
