Position title: Peer Support Specialist with Case Management Experience
Program Overview: The Peer Support Specialist Program offers advocacy, education, emotional support, mentoring and motivation to assist youth in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use disorder. The Peer Support Specialist utilizes their lived experience, training and education in order to help others.
Required Qualifications:
· Lived experience as a family member or caregiver to another person who is living with a mental health and/or substance use condition.
· Eligible for certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS-F) with the Florida Certification Board.
· Knowledge of case management services and community resources.
· High school diploma and minimum one year of related experience required.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation and car insurance.
· Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
· Evening and weekend availability (schedule is flexible).
Primary Responsibilities:
· Support clients and caregivers by using their own lived experience and skills learned in training to help clients achieve and maintain recovery and wellness from mental health and/or substance use conditions.
· Collaborate with other service providers on the overall wellness of the clients served.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
