Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced bilingual - Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our facility. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of all equipment and systems, as well as managing a team of maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high and low voltage electrical systems, project management, and maintenance management. Must have direct management experience in a leadership role, managing a P & L, experience with Electrical, AGV’s, and Refrigeration within a food manufacturing company is a must as well as being bilingual.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day activities of maintenance operations and personnel to meet established maintenance, quality control and safety standards. Is active on the floor with his or her team.
Ensures activities meet short-term goals established for production continuity and balance such as limiting down time, maximizing time efficiencies, machine loading, grievance resolution, and equipment maintenance.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure alignment in the areas of output, productivity, and quality.
Schedules, trains, and motivates maintenance techs to ensure consistent attainment of maintenance schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels.
Interviews and recommends individuals for open positions.
Recommends improvements in work or methods.
Uses operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and to improve product quality.
Notifies management personnel of machines and/or equipment that could be modified to improve production and quality of products.
Conducts safety meetings, safety observations and incident investigations, and promotes safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of high voltage electrical systems, low voltage electrical systems, logic controllers, and general electrical principles
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish both written and oral
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
