CobbFendley is seeking a HR Team Lead who is confident working in a fast-paced environment servicing employees in different locations with a strong desire to research best practices and create practical processes while executing daily operations.
The successful candidate’s most important qualifications include:

Minimum of 5 years work experience as an HR Team Lead or equivalent role

Associate, or higher, degree in human resources or in process of obtaining required; this may be substituted with 8 years of professional Human Resources administrative experience

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations; including a thorough understanding of Texas, Florida, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Kentucky, Idaho, Ohio, and Washington

Experience working in a professional AEC environment preferred

Experience working with 700+ employees in multiple states preferred

Experience working with Federal Contractor organizations preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills with an ability to influence

Excellent organizational skills with an orientation towards standardizing processes

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems; experience with WorkForce Now ADP and Deltek VantagePoint knowledge preferred

Responsibilities:
The HR Team Lead’s primary focus will be focused on employee relations and compliance.

Involvement in, and at times take a leading role, in the development and implementation of new policies, procedures, and best practices to meet the Company’s expectations in coordination with the HR Director.

Maintain knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, benefits, and employment law. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

Works closely with HR Director, management, and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.

Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.

Participate in activities to develop knowledge of work environment, including culture, business objectives, goals, operations, and work challenges.

Assist with the maintenance of confidential personnel and medical files, including data entry.

Assist with various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending and health saving accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), ESOP, and wellness benefits.

Assists with external recruiting efforts, including maintaining relationships with schools, associations and other recruiters. Represents the organization at selected job fairs. Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues.

Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; processes mail and performs other clerical functions.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST/local time zone.
This position may include the need for overtime hours.
