As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating, fostering and growing positive relationships with retail stores, specifically focusing on our sustainable reusable line of bags. You will be responsible for seeking new accounts, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your efforts will directly contribute to the adoption of earth-friendly practices and the reduction of plastic waste.
Your Opportunity & Impact: Success in this position requires a blend of the following roles and responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Creating successful long term reusable bag programs with retail partners.
- Seek out new Lotus branded and private label partnership opportunities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for our retail store clients, building and nurturing strong relationships.
- Proactively reach out to existing clients to identify reordering opportunities, ensuring their stock of reusable Lotus bags remains well-stocked with pricing clear for the customer.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to drive increased sales and customer satisfaction.
- Drive process strategy to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients, addressing any concerns, and providing ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for client creation, retention and expansion.
- Provide accurate product information, pricing details, and promotional support to clients.
- Review sales reports and forecasts, tracking performance against targets and presenting insights to the management team.
- Stay up to date with sustainability trends, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
- Utilize inventory analysis to determine pattern counts and recommendations, projecting sales and season ending stock levels, year to year comparisons and historic trend patterns
Qualifications:
- 7 Years experience in sales, preferably in CPG, retail or sustainable products industry
- Must have an upbeat, warm, welcoming demeanor to represent our mission and establish valuable connections while delivering results through business development
- Passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in promoting earth-friendly solutions.
- Must be able and willing to travel for meetings occasionally
- A strong and natural drive to reach out to new clients and opportunities
- Must be comfortable on the phone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical aptitude and demonstrated analytical skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- A natural flair for engaging with diverse individuals and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with CRM software, excel and technology interfaces
- Must be a learner with proven organizational skills and system developed
