HPW is actively recruiting entry level through seven years of experience.
Essential duties and responsibilities include :
- Review corporate, partnership, individual, trust and estate tax returns
- Train staff via review feedback and other forms of communication
- Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, trust and estate tax returns
- Resolve routine to complex accounting and tax problems
- Implementation of tax planning and consulting opportunities
- Research tax issues and prepare memorandums and other written correspondence supporting research findings
- Client accounting and payroll, closing of the books in order to prepare tax returns
- Communicate directly with clients via meetings, telephone, letters, and e-mail
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree Accounting/Tax preferred
- CPA designation
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to operate in a paperless workplace with a proficient working knowledge of computers
- Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting software, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
- Demonstrate an enthusiasm to learn and expand one’s technical tax and accounting expertise
- Self-starter
- Detail-oriented with ability manage multiple projects
- Honest, positive, professional and respectful
