POSITION SUMMARY
The territory manager will develop and execute successful sales strategies for revenue growth and market expansion within the designated territory. The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience, with knowledge of the latest industry trends and techniques. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, sales expertise, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. The goal is to drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of the company within the West Coast territory.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Sales and Business Development:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets within the West Coast territory.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new customer acquisition and market share.

Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Account Management:

Manage key accounts within the territory, understanding their needs, challenges, and business goals.

Provide industry product support, conducting presentations and demonstrations as needed.

Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve revenue targets.
Market Analysis:

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments within the territory.

Collect and analyze market data to inform sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Customer Support and Training:

Provide ongoing customer support and training on diagnostic products and solutions.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with company goals.

Participate in regular sales meetings, providing updates on territory performance and market insights.
Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3-5 years relevant sales experience or equivalent work experience.

Ability to travel 50-75% including overnight travel.

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Proven track record of successful sales experience in the diagnostic products or life sciences industry.

Strong understanding of diagnostic products, technologies, and market dynamics.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to travel within the West Coast territory as needed.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
