Calling All Passionate Preschool Educators
Little Nestlings Early Learning Center in West Linn, OR, is seeking a team of enthusiastic preschool educators to join our nest this coming fall. We’re a brand-new preschool focused on the philosophy, where children can direct their learning.

As a Head Teacher, you will:
- Cultivate a supportive and engaging atmosphere that inspires children’s growth and curiosity.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children under your care.
- Conduct individual and group assessments of children's development.
- Plan and execute emergent and inquiry-based classroom programs in compliance with school policies and licensing requirements.
- Tailor programs to accommodate the needs and interests of each child, fostering their unique abilities and learning styles.
- Create an inviting, open-ended, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
- Collaborate with caregivers, families, and Assistant Teachers to support children's learning journeys.
- Document and showcase children's learning using various mediums such as photography and other outlets to express feelings and creativity.
- Utilize positive guidance techniques and facilitate conflict resolution among children.
- Maintain regular and constructive communication with families.
- Effectively integrate the skills and talents of teaching team members in all aspects of classroom management.
- Engage in regular self-reflection on teaching practices and pursue professional development opportunities, including earning a minimum of 15 CEU credits annually.
- Participate actively in staff and team meetings.
- Mentor less experienced educators, offering practical guidance and professional development opportunities within a structured mentoring framework.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must meet state certification for this position.
- Experience in play-based/project-based curriculum and a strong affinity for the -inspired approach.
- Sensitivity, maturity, and the ability to connect with all members of the school community.
- Professional demeanor, warmth, and respect for all children.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team is essential for creating a positive learning environment and supporting student success.

- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Able to connect with children on their level, support their emotional needs, and guide them through challenges with kindness and compassion.
- Perform duties onsite at our Little Nestlings Learning Center.
Total Compensation Package:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate (non-exempt, overtime eligible).
