Job description
Code 1 Aviation is seeking an experienced individual for our Avionics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong avionics and/or electrical background, knowledge of instrumentation upgrades, and troubleshooting of avionics. Candidates should have independent problem-solving skills, be detail oriented and enjoy working as part of a team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Integration of modern avionics into aircraft, primarily on the L-39 Albatross Warbird
· Troubleshooting original factory installed equipment as well as integrated “U.S.” equipment
· Wire harness fabrication
Traits:
· General Avionics experience
· Ability to read and understand schematics
· 3-5 years of Electrical experience
· Open to learning new things
· Problem solving / Detail oriented
· Computer proficient (Microsoft Word / Excel)
· Consistency and excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Avionics Technician Certification
- Auto Cad experience with Nano Cad 5
- System integration familiarity with Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne, Rockwell Collins, and other major avionics manufacturers
- Prior instrumentation repair and calibration experience
- Complete understanding of avionics installations from conception to completion. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical schematic design, harness fabrication, LRU installation, proper termination techniques and standards, configuration inputs, and calibration procedures
- Military experience

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
