Old Plank Estates located in Butler, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to become part of our amazing team!
The Maintenance Technician helps to prepare apartment units for rental and supports the overall upkeep of the property. A typical day may find you responding to a resident's work order, performing preventative maintenance, replacing/repairing drywall, painting an apartment, minor plumbing (faucets/fixtures/commode replacement/replacing a hot water tank), minor electrical (replacing light/wall switches), replacing door locks, troubleshooting a PTAC unit, troubleshooting the repair of an appliance, etc. There may be some custodial and grounds work and other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
In addition to maintenance qualifications, you must possess excellent customer service skills and be a great multi-tasker!
This position requires participation in a shared rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies or during periods when snow removal is needed.
Physical requirements: Must be able to work from a ladder, climb, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift or move items more than 50 lbs. on a regular basis; must have ability to manipulate snow blowers and lawn mowers. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and traverse the property on a regular basis.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with previous Maintenance Technician experience required. Apartment maintenance experience a plus!
