The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial health of an organization by managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This position involves overseeing the accounts receivable process and resolving payment issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process invoices for billing
- Review and reconcile customer accounts
- Collect customer payments and enter/record cash deposits
- Follow up with customers on past due accounts and collections
- Resolve customer inquiries and disputes in a timely manner
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports and aging schedules
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in other accounting functions as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, and billing; experience in accounting is preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Motivated to go above and beyond in learning and completing new tasks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with collections and resolving customer disputes is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
