We are looking for a fun-loving, passionate, family-friendly Director to to round out our Leadership Team. Our motto is "Hug First, then Teach" . Primary roles would be new hire training, faculty support, and curriculum implementation.
Qualifications
The Assistant Director's qualifications must meet or exceed state licensing requirements, education, and experience as well as:
- ·At least 3 years of early childhood education experience is required, along with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and the ability to ensure its use in the classroom
- Previous management experience in a licensed childcare facility or experience managing faculty/staff
- Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills required
- Able to multi-task with ease
- Understanding and implementation of curriculum implementation and classroom management
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
· Establish a safe, healthy, and welcoming preschool setting
· Follows up on inquiries and conducts tours for prospective families
· Direct in marketing events, campaigns, and community relations
· Direct in building and supporting a qualified team of educators
· Direct in maintaining license for school
· Assist in providing in-service training and workshops as needed for staff development
· Manage the operation of the school when needed and handle licensing visits
· Communicate to parents on school updates such as weekly newsletter, school events, etc.
· Answers parent concerns with care and concern
· Assist staff with planning and execution of special calendar events for children/families
· Ability to step into and assist the classroom in case of needs
Ensures full compliance with corporate policies as well as federal, state, and company standards, regulations, and requirements including licensing, safety, and sanitation
· Help manage hiring and recruitment of new staff
· Upholds company standards and set the example by consistently modeling professional leadership, management and instructional skills while interacting with others
· Demonstrates consistency in words and actions
Understands and implements emergency procedures in case of emergency situations. When necessary able to administer CPR/First Aid, including lifting and carrying injured children.
