Summary/objective
Supervises/ coordinates the shipping department by scheduling and dispatching shipments to trucking companies. Supervises and coordinates activities as they pertain to picking and packaging, verifying content for shipping, receiving packages, ordering supplies, leading and managing staff. The main goal is to always ensure timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution. Plans and assigns work to team as needed, implements policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with upper members of management on goals deadlines and productivity daily.
Essential functions
· Plan, schedule and manage outbound shipments through various carriers to meet daily operational and shipping demands/goals
· Prepare documentation for both domestic/ international shipments and ensures correct shipment of orders goes to customers
· Administrative duties include creating Bills of Lading and shipping labels, data entry, etc.
· Help load trailers using forklift and complete other duties as required/ assigned
· Inspect materials or products being produced in- process as well a final inspection
· Conduct Product Tests and Assessment, Identify Product Defects, Record and Report Issues.
· Support process improvements and monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards and recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.

Lead Responsibilities
· It is the responsibility of the shipping lead to oversee the operations involved in the shipping dept.
Work Environment
· Shipping dept with all necessary amenities to facilitate shipping and shipping management.
Physical Demands
· Long periods of time standing and may be required to lift heavy objects, so applicants for this role should be physically fit. Must be able to quickly remove sample parts or products during the manufacturing process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
