Busy Interventional Orthopedics and Regenerative Practice in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a new medical assistant ASAP.
The practice is non-surgical interventional pain management, and the candidate would work for the Interventional Pain Physician who coordinates patient care with our in-house team of physical therapists and chiropractors. There is a procedure suite with a fluoroscope where spine injections, joint injections, and PRP and stem cell therapy are performed. We are supportive of pre-professional students who are taking time to gain direct clinical care experience as well as be creatively involved in the growth of a medical practice and its administrative responsibilities. We have had several medical assistants who are pre-professional/gap year students who have successfully matriculated into professional school.

Busy Pain Management Practice Seeks Immediate Hire for Medical Assistant. Preferred: 2 YEARS experience in MEDICAL PRACTICE.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in support of day-to-day operations (i.e. patient flow, implementing office policy, etc)
- Basic administrative assistant duties
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets
- Must pay very close attention to detail, possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task
- Develop good relationships with patients and staff
- Perform Medical Assistant duties as needed - assisting in procedures, scribing, obtaining historys from patients directly
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Lab experience advantageous. Medical assistants will learn to prepare orthobiologic samples (i.e., PRP, stem cells). Also will become proficient at gaining intravenous access and use of ultrasound.
Skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Medical Billing And Coding: 1 year preferred\
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work
