As an Insurance Coordinator you will:
- Assist patients with insurance benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims
- Works with insurance companies to resolve financial challenges
- Maintains a healthy aging accounts receivable.
Medical Billing & Claim Follow-up Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
- Ensure the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date.
- Prepare bills and invoices, and document amounts due to medical procedures and services.
- Collect and review referrals and pre-authorizations.
- Monitor and record late payments.
- Follow-up on missed payments and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Investigate and appeal denied claims.
- Maintain billing software by updating rate change, cash spreadsheets, and current collection reports.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience as a medical biller or similar role. Recommended 1 year of claim follow-up and appeal experience is preferred.
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in insurance verification to join a high performing Insurance Department. Knowledge of Medicaid, Commercial insurance and HCFA claims handling is preferred. Must have working knowledge of Medisoft, Claim MD and Availity.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
