To originate commercial real estate loans and serve as an intermediary between an established network of capital sources and borrower clients. A loan originator’s responsibility is to identify commercial real estate loan opportunities for borrower clients and place those mortgages within BWE's correspondent and other lending base.
Build a strong client base with principals of multifamily and commercial real estate properties in order to identify financing opportunities and assist these clients in finding optimal financing solutions.
Build strong lender relationships with BWE's capital sources in order to meet their respective needs to deploy capital and to meet the needs of borrower clients.
Analyze and underwrite mortgage opportunities for placement to company’s correspondent lending base.
Structure loans in accordance with borrowers and lenders requirements.
Assist loan underwriter in the underwriting and packaging of the loan.
Assist loan coordinator in the processing of the loan including but not limited to loan closings.
Visit the property being financed and determine the property’s marketability, functionality and economic feasibility.
Become involved with local and national trade organizations such as NAIOP, ULI, CREW, MBA, etc.
To call on real estate developers, investors, real estate agents and all parties involved in the decision-making process of borrowings on commercial real estate.
Handle very complex deals for borrower that may include multiple sources of capital.
May manage, train and/or develop analysts, transaction managers or originators.
