Job Title: Manufacturing Assistant
Job Summary:
NuSmile’s Manufacturing Assistant performs, schedules and monitors production for designated product lines and brands.
Job Description:
The primary responsibilities of the Manufacturing Assistant include and are not limited to the following:
· Aid Manufacturing Manager in the manufacturing functions of the organization in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and organizational goals and policies.
· Aid Manufacturing Manager in implementing plans strengthening the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel to maximize production.
· Assess needs and opportunities for improvement and report them to Management.
· Identify issues that may impact company finances, production time frames and quality, evaluate and report to Manager.
· Manufacture products per Work Instructions and complete product records accurately.
· Ensure operating efficiency at the expected level of quality and conformance to products’ acceptance criteria.
· Identify any product and process nonconformances, notify Manufacturing Manager and Quality Assurance and work with them to resolve.
· Assist in the inspection/investigation of product related complaints and returns.
· Compile and submit purchase requisition forms, place orders for raw materials and manage until receiving inspection.
· Receive, inspect (and test when required) raw materials and supplies for production and label them to comply with OSHA regulations and Quality System procedures.
· Monitor inventory levels of supplies and raw materials for production of products.
· Conduct periodic quality testing of raw materials.
· Compile weekly finished inventory reports to review with Manager.
· Assist in the development and improvement of work plans and Work Instructions.
· Manufacture pilot batches for new products.
· Assist Product Development department with special projects and new product properties testing.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Excel & Word.
- Ability to make evidence-based decisions in a collaborative manner.
- Effective communication with all levels of management.
- Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, effectively manage time to meet deadlines.
- Excellent English – verbal & written.
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
Preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Experience working in the medical device industry.
- Experience working in a laboratory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
