Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with various medical procedures. Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures such as cardiac catheterization, specimen collection processing, and phlebotomy
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, including proper isolation techniques
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in [state]
- Previous experience in urgent care or similar fast-paced healthcare setting preferred
- Experience working with children of all ages, including toddlers and infants
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilator management is a plus
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation
