POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing support for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of The MAC facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School degree or equivalent required. Some college preferred
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in related field.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to understand and adhere to local, state, federal, and ACA health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge and relationships with local vendors.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with carpentry, plumbing, water, electrical, vehicle and machinery operation, and the maintenance associated with each.
- Knowledge of maintenance/landscape procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide support for day-to-day operations of maintenance (Kamishibai) and third-party vendors, related to facility.
- Assist with inventory and maintain all equipment, supplies, and furnishing.
- Completing assigned task from Facility Request Form issues that pertain to facility.
- Communicate regularly with the Facility Coordinator on all issues as they relate to site and facility.
- Support to ensure building and storage sites are clean and safe according to OSHA standards.
- Support in maintenance emergencies (i.e. HVAC & PTAC system failure, power outages, water outages, etc.)
- Actively support and promote a safe environment and ensure that proper safety precautions are being followed.
- Mitigate risk whenever possible and make safety recommendations to all departments.
- Support Conference Center and set up and breakdown of rooms.
- Provide support for Lobby and Café operations, as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position is based on both the standard office environment and possible travel to meetings and outreach events.
- Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- After-hour’s work required from time to time, including evenings and weekends; ability to work remotely when necessary.
OTHER
- Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment.
- Much physical effort required on a routine basis: ability to use up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry, or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups and foot and/or hand-eye coordination.
- Work requires a lot of physical agility for doing majority of assigned work, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder.
- Visual acuity is required for reading computer screens and/or documents and making changes as necessary/required.
- Job requires high levels of alertness and concentration. This position requires analytical abilities and multitasking to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Must present a neat, clean, well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Must exhibit good judgment, adaptability, persuasiveness, self-confidence, and an optimistic attitude.
- Must have a valid Texas identification and a reliable transportation; if own transportation, the minimum auto insurance required by the State – must keep license and insurance current.
