FINANCIAL CONTROLLER with Manufacturing Background
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Produce accurate and timely financial statements.
2. Institute effective programs and controls that 1) protect the assets of the company; 2) warn of potential losses due to theft and/or mistakes; 3) reliably report the costs of goods sold and sales margins; 4) ensure the ability to control costs and cash flow
3. Implement and maintain a standard cost system. Ensure accuracy of build plans and standard cost. Complete monthly variance analysis. Maintain accurate inventory.
4. Financial planning including sales, cost, profit, balance sheet, and cash flow budgets and forecasts. Budget and control capital expenditure through return justification.
5. Manage the selection, training, and development of staff personnel.
6. Oversee annual audits, regulatory agency reports, develop relations with financial institutions, provide tax information, and company insurance.
7. Controlling CASH:
a. Collecting cash from customers. Monitor A/R
b. Managing vendor payments and vendor relations
8. Controlling costs: Ensuring the following
a. Purchasing
b. PO procedures are followed
c. Timely and accurate recording of the PO receipts (WD’s)
d. Departments stay within budget
9. Outside services procedures are followed
a. Lawyers
b. Accountants
10. Annual items:
a. Annual Audit
b. Tax returns
c. Bank line renewal
d. Insurance renewal
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred
- 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge and application of GAAP
- Be able to establish training targets to meet company objectives.
- Partner with Sr. Management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communications to our customers
- LEADERSHIP: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- PLANNING: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span.
- MANAGEMENT: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
