Valencia School of Music in downtown Westfield NJ is looking for our next rockstar for our administrative team
Duties include:
- Greet and welcome our families and students in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, following up with new and existing student requests and booking new lessons and group classes. Focus will be on communicating with new and existing requests for lessons and classes.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for the office
- Perform data entry tasks, including transcribing and typing documents, creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
-Facilitate communication between the teaching staff, families and administrative team
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a related role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Proficient in using office management software, such as Google
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with phone systems and the ability to handle multiple phone lines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-Knowledge of musical instrument families and basic understanding of group and private music education are a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
