Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The person in this position is responsible for managing the Neighborhood Revitalization program for the affiliate. This will include coordinating the completion of all home repairs, promotion of the program, processing homeowner applicant paperwork, and managing a weekly project schedule that includes volunteers, subcontractors, and individual completion of tasks.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Coordinate all home repair projects including managing volunteers, materials, and supervision of jobsites.
2. Process homeowner applications, perform work assessments, and complete contract agreements for home repairs.
3. Assess and collect fees for services.
4. Perform periodic project and financial summary reports.
5. Promote the program and expand partnerships by connecting with community groups, businesses, and local governmental/nonprofit organizations.
6. Create and sustain a pipeline of homeowner applicants.
7. Organize one “Rock the Block” neighborhood event each year.
8. Attend the Construction Advisory Committee meetings.
9. Work with and supervise volunteers as well as complete smaller projects independently.
10. Coordinate and communicate with Volunteer Coordinator to secure necessary volunteers for workdays when necessary.
11. Perform other duties as needed or requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge and 3-5 years of experience in residential home repairs or construction.
2. Previous experience in administrative work, project coordination, volunteer supervision, or another related field.
3. Outstanding organizational skills.
4. Flexibility in work habits and scheduling.
5. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Physical ability to climb a ladder up to 25 feet; ability to lift up to 70 pounds, up to 10 times per workday.
7. Ability to be in and perform job functions in various weather conditions including heat and cold.
8. Familiarity with Habitat for Humanity and/or affordable housing.
9. Ability to relate to individuals and appreciate diversity.
10. Have a valid driver’s license.
The Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator will typically work Mon-Friday but may need to be available approximately one Saturday per month during the summer months to accommodate volunteer groups.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This person reports to the Executive Director but works directly with the Volunteer, Office, and Marketing/Communication Coordinators.
