What is the opportunity?
In the US Tech Strategy and Architecture transformation office at RBC US, (encompassing five US lines of business), we are seeking a visionary Senior Process Engineer with deep US industry technology and business expertise to lead our transformation initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving technological innovation, process optimization, and alignment across our technology landscape.
What will you do?
Technology Strategy Development:

Define and drive the technology strategy for process engineering and optimization initiatives.

Identify emerging technologies and trends to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
Process Automation and Digitization:
-
Lead the standardization of process automation solutions leveraging advanced technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).

Define and drive the digitization of manual processes to streamline operations and improve scalability.
Data-driven Decision Making:
-
Utilize advanced analytics and data-driven insights to inform process improvements and decision-making.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of process changes.
Enterprise Architecture Alignment:

Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams (within the RBC US chief architect’s leadership) to ensure that process improvements are aligned with the overall technology architecture.

Identify process optimization/simplification opportunities for technology standardization and consolidation to drive efficiency and reduce complexity.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the RBC US Technology organization.

Encourage experimentation with new technologies and methodologies to drive operational excellence.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with business stakeholders, tech teams, and other functional areas to understand requirements and priorities.

Facilitate collaboration and communication to ensure successful implementation of technology-driven process improvements.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related experience, 10+ years of experience with a focus on process engineering and optimization.

Deep expertise in process automation technologies, business process design, modeling, and analysis.

Experienced with BPM platforms and tools like Pega, Appian, Salesforce, IBM, Blue Prism, Microsoft, etc.)

Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques for process automation.

Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into technology solutions and initiatives.
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to envision, articulate, and convey a technology roadmap aligned with business goals to a blended audience of business and technology executives.

Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with a high degree of problem-solving aptitude.

US technology and industry experience/expertise.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000-$190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
