Duties:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the kitchen manager or head chef.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Stock and rotate inventory as needed.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe dining experience for customers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
Skills:
- Bussing: Ability to clear tables and clean them efficiently to maintain a clean dining area.
- Aloha POS: Experience using the Aloha POS system for order taking and payment processing.
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- POS: Proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns.
- Culinary: Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Cash register: Experience operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Sanitation: Understanding of proper sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Food preparation: Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Cash handling: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain cash register balances.
