The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible for supporting Quality Assurance activities for a small engineering group developing space flight hardware.
BASIC EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Quality Control, Information Management, related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the processing of NASA/MIL-STD electronic products.

Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Demonstrated commitment to quality of work within QA engineering environments.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Strong attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Essential/Typical Duties:

Support the implementation and management of an AS9100D compliant quality management system.

Responsible for:
-
Receiving Inspection of flight hardware components.
-
Compilation of all First Article Inspection records and verification of product conformity.
-
Compiling Acceptance Data Packages for all deliverables
-
Provides oversight of engineering design, development, testing, and certification of flight hardware.
-
In charge of review, execution and closeout of flight hardware Work Authorization Documents (WADs).
-
Supports other selected projects and duties as required by the Project Manager.
