Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm M-F (some Saturdays as needed OT required)
Pay: Up to $19/hr
Job Summary:
Material Control Technician II will be responsible for picking automotive parts, and getting them ready to move to the shop floor. In addition to physically moving material, this position requires processing the material moves in an ERP system. The right candidate must be reliable, have attention to detail, and have strong automotive and material control background including using a computer to process material in an ERP (inventory management) system. This position also requires providing support to move freight in and out of trucks and around the warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of material control experience.
- Ability to drive a Hi-Lo and pass our internal training course.
- Experience recording/tracking inventory in an ERP system.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent data entry and computer skills..
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Accurate cycle count/inventory experience.
- Experience with receiving and distributing parts in a warehouse or production operation.
- Must be detailed oriented with excellent organization skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able learn new processes and systems in a short time span.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Must have kitting experience.
Education and Experience (required):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No previous experience required.
Experience (preferred):
- PeopleSoft experience.
- Experience with creating and processing PID’s in PeopleSoft.
- Experience recording/tracking inventory in PeopleSoft.
- Experience working in manufacturing and or materials.
- Understands concept of good customer service, reliable attendance, and ability to work
overtime.
- Ability to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck license.
- Ability to read, count and communicate inventory data both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow directions and learn new skills and detail oriented.
- Basic computer skills.
Position is long term contract with possibility of direct hire based on attendance/performance.
