Job Overview:
The Inventory Coordinator oversees inventory levels across multiple locations. The successful candidate will ensure adequate inventory balances, coordinate monthly and bi-annual physical inventory counts, and assist with inventory accounting and control.
Essential Duties
· Coordinate multiple location inventory levels and maintain adequate balances of inventory requirements for warehouses.
· Coordinate and oversee the monthly inventory balances and the bi-annual physical inventory counts at each location June 30 and Dec 31.
· Assist Controller with monthly inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold calculations for monthly financial reporting.
· Assist Controller with inventory control and valuation.
· Coordinate centralized purchasing for all regions of inventory, consumables, negotiable supplies including but limited to filters, parts, supplies, office supplies.
· Assist Controller and Division Accountant in the control of spend using the Purchase Order system, vendor setup for direct invoicing and terms on account.
· Coordinate with all departments the centralized systematic process of the Purchase Order System using the MobiWork system for purchase orders and inventory.
· Assist Division Accountant in credit card transaction authorizations, purchases and receipts.
· Review purchase requests complete full research on best pricing and obtain authorization for purchase. Set up new vendors for purchases to obtain best competitive pricing for products purchased.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using inventory management and purchasing software (e.g., MobiWork).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Active Forklift certification
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel within Texas as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
