Responsibilities:
- Transporting meals, meal carts, and any equipment needed between the DO & CO facilities, third-party vendors, and the airport.
- Load/unload aircraft according to DO & CO and airline regulations, specifications, and equipment handling.
- Ensure flights are always catered for correctly.
- Cater to DO & CO’s client’s airlines and handle airlines equipment expeditiously and safely.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations and all applicable rules/regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a CDL driver.
- Valid commercial driver license type A or B.
- Airbrake endorsement required.
- Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise, must be comfortable in different environments.
- Ability to perform duties both indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work at heights of up to 20-25 feet.
- Ability to regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
- Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by co-workers.
- Applicants are required to maintain unescorted escort privileges to JFK airport. To obtain these privileges, background checks pursuant to 49 CFR Section 122.182(d) and 49 CFR Section 1542.209 are required.
- High school diploma preferred.
