Location: Ridgefield Park NJ, CA (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 6 Months extendable
This is Hybrid role, Mon to thus – Office, Friday – WFH The start date: 07/15 or Sooner working 8am-6pm and some Saturdays (overtime work to be expected) Every month's end, the candidate should work at midnight. ( Also ready to work on Sat and Sunday ). Requirement: This is Backfill position. Looking for 1 - 3 years of experienced candidate. College Graduate with 1 year relevant experience candidate is also fine. Need to have good data analysis experienced.
Job Description:
Under the guidance of a Manager, this role involves managing the logistics cycle for all Samsung products, covering manufacturing, SEA warehouse tracking, customer delivery, and product returns and claims. The position ensures the smooth transportation of routine products through international channels by managing individual shipments in transit, selecting standard shipping/warehousing methods, collecting and processing delivery and documentation items, and processing claims via email, phone, and personal contact with logistics colleagues, business partners, internal partners, and customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct transactional processes from factory to distribution center, making routine decisions using pre-determined alternatives.
- Provide analysis and reporting through data processing and maintenance (Forecast, Routing, KPI, Container, and Load management).
- Oversee destination transportation operations to ensure the execution and delivery of priority and KPI containers.
- Coordinate and execute special project transportation and ancillary services.
- Document and collect data to support department projects/activities.
- Work with a continuous improvement mindset across a highly-matrixed working environment.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of logistics operations from factory to distribution center.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A team player.
- Experience with SAP and proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to high level, with emphasis on managing large data samples.
- High level of accuracy and efficiency. Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.
- Experience in identifying standard problems within the delivery cycle and making recommendations to change delivery methods or dates, and authorizing standard returns or claims to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Experience in working on problems of limited and routine scope where analysis of data requires identifying predetermined solutions.
- Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- General knowledge of logistics operations related to the employee’s specific area of work, with limited knowledge of overall logistics operations.
