Job Summary:
Circle’s mission: As an independent 501(c)(3) our mission is to inspire and equip families and communities to reduce poverty and the barriers that keep people in poverty. Circles offers an 18-month economic mobility coaching program to families (and children) in poverty to gain financial stability. This is done by matching people at or below the poverty level with peers who support goals such as budgeting, debt reduction, sharing networks, and building relationships. Circles also engages the community-at-large to pursue a tipping point by helping at least 10% out of poverty and to help eliminate “cliff effects” that prevent people from leaving safety networks.
The Circles Director is a leadership position, reporting to the Board of Directors, whose primary responsibility is to:
•Oversee all aspects of program administration and growth
•Supervise staff, interns and volunteers
•Fundraise & lead Development efforts
•Be program liaison to the Board of Directors, Circles USA, and community
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field and a minimum of two years of experience in nonprofit work. The candidate should have a passion for inspiring families and communities to overcome poverty. The ideal candidate should reside in West Georgia.
